Murison refined his design for a second lens assembly at the back end of the dFTS. He is about half-way finished with a technical memorandum that documents the designs and minimally-necessary geometric optics background.

Murison added simple lenses to AESOP, his analytical optical ray tracing package. Debugging is next. Murison also is about a third done with a memorandum explaining several useful aspects of Zernike circle polynomials (which are used to describe wavefronts in optical systems).

Murison continued mentoring A. Simone, a student helping out with orbit calculations for a dFTS proposal. On the topic of transfer orbits, Murison wrote a technical memorandum, adding it to the series of AA department memoranda.
